8 May 93 Roger, Enclosed are three disks for your VPU-40. I hope that one or all of them will bring it up for you. What I have done is copy each of the three disks - which were 360k disks - on to a 96tpi format that is what your machine uses. That means that each of the disks is really only half full - tracks 0-40 rather than 0-80. Assuming that you can boot your VPU-40 with one or more of these, one of the first things that you will want to do is format new disks at 96tpi, copy all of the files from one or more of these disks, and SYSGEN the operating system onto it. That will give you twice the space that you have with these. You will then want to do the same for the remaining disks. I suspect, but I'm not sure, that each of these disks has a slightly different version of the operating system on it. You will want to compare them and see which works best and settle on that one. You may want to keep the others, however. I've also enclosed several pages of information about the Compustar computers in general, and about the serial ports on the back side. Hope it all helps. Good Luck! - don
